Civil Society Input on Selecting the Global Fund’s Next Executive Director

The Board of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (the Global Fund) has formally launched the process to select its next Executive Director for a four-year term starting from 2027.

The Developed Country NGO Delegation (DevDel) would like to hear from the broader civil society constituency and global health advocacy partners about general considerations, suggestions on questions to ask, and attributes and qualities to look for among the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted candidates are not yet available, but your input will help inform DevDel’s Board and Alternate Board Members during the selection process. We will do our best to consolidate and consider your input during each stage of the selection process, but we cannot reveal the outcome of our Delegation’s vote.

The appointment of the Executive Director will be decided at the time of the 56th Board meeting in late October.
